SILVER SPINE: Digital twins of the spine to support surgery planning.
The core of SKAIROS’ activity is based on the ambition to bring the first digital twins of the spine to manufacturers, regulatory bodies and clinicians, and to provide a global support service from the pre-market phase to clinical operation and post-market evaluation.
The SILVER SPINE project aims to offer manufacturers and spine surgeons new digital twins on this market to help design innovative implants and plan the surgical strategy for degenerative pathologies of the adult spine. Based on numerical simulation, the SILVER SPINE project is based on subject specific finite element models, taking into account both patient alignment and biomechanical criteria.
